JINSA CEO Dr. Michael Makovsky explains in The Weekly Standard why standing by while such staggering carnage continues in Syria fundamentally betrays American humanistic values and dwarfs any concern over 10,000 refugees.

Over 80 National Leaders gathered on November 17 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC to hear from a high-level lineup of speakers that included Senator Steve Daines of Montana, Congressman Juan Vargas of California, Dr. Michael Makovsky, Maj. Gen. (ret.) Yaakov Amidror, Douglas Feith, Michael O'Hanlon, Roger Zakheim, Steve Rademaker, General Charles Wald, USAF (ret.), and many others.

On November 5, 2015, JINSA held a high-level panel on Capitol Hill to introduce a new report addressing electromagnetic threats to critical U.S. infrastructure.

Senator Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security, Congressman Michael McCaul, Chairman of the House Committee Homeland Security, Congressman Trent Franks, and Congressman Doug Lamborn made remarks at the event.

Citing Israel as the world leader in counterterrorism, 15 senior American law enforcement officials from the Law Enforcement Exchange Program (LEEP) are spending 10 days in the country to observe multiple security agencies.

Newspapers JINSA's EMP Task Force report and Capitol Hill event were featured in Politico and the Washington Free Beacon this month.

Alan Makovsky, Gemunder Center Iran Task Force Member, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, and former Senior Professional Staff Member (Dem.) for the Middle East and Turkey on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, looks at Turkey's recent elections and the G-20 Summit in Antalya.

While there is no doubt that Israel is facing a difficult security situation, the surge in Palestinian violence does not pose any existential threat to Israel. Israel has weathered longer and harsher waves of terrorism. Israeli leaders must keep things in proportion, and reject calls for "massive retaliation" that will not truly improve security and could make things worse.

On November 17-18, JINSA Gemunder Center Distinguished Fellow Maj. Gen. (ret.) Yaakov Amidror briefed JINSA leaders and friends on the strategic challenges facing Israel in Washington, DC and in New York at an event hosted by JINSA National Leader Sander Gerber.

JINSA Gemunder Center Distinguished Fellow Maj. Gen. Yaakov Amidror addresses the many questions raised by Russia's involvement in Syria. What do they hope to achieve? Why have they chosen to increase their troop deployments and increase their involvement at this particular time? Will their intervention lead to positive developments for the Assad regime on the battlefield? If not, what is the Russian exit strategy in case of failure in Syria? How will the Russians react if they begin to lose soldiers and planes?

JINSA CEO Dr. Michael Makovsky was quoted in The Washington Post on Iran testing the U.S.

On November 12, JINSA leaders and friends in Dallas, TX were briefed by Maj. Gen. Larry Stutzriem, USAF (ret.) about his on-the-ground military observations while in Israel with JINSA's Generals and Admirals Program. The briefing was hosted by JINSA National Leaders Karla and Larry Steinberg.
