Tom Neumann joined JINSA as Executive Director in 1991, and ran the organization until his retirement in 2012. By dint of his boundless energy and personality, he made JINSA a leading voice on U.S. national security and U.S.-Israel security ties, one that is highly respected in Washington, Jerusalem, and beyond. The force of his personality made him a compelling and irresistible figure. In 1999, the Forward named Tom one of the nation's most influential Jewish leaders. He was a moving speaker, writer, and radio and television commentator, and addressed audiences on Capitol Hill, university faculties, religious and social organizations, and public and private schools on issues of national security and related concerns. He also consulted for and advised many major national and local political candidates on national security and Jewish issues. Prior to JINSA, Tom served as the Executive Vice President of B'nai B'rith International, and also held a number of Senior Executive positions at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). Tom also founded several organizations, including The Houston Center for International Affairs and the Christian-Jewish Committee for Israel and Texas in 1990. Tom passed away September 9, 2014.

William Kristol is the founder and editor of The Weekly Standard, a regular on ABC's This Week, and on ABC's special election and event coverage. He also appears frequently on other political commentary shows, including Fox News Sunday. He serves as a board member for the Emergency Committee for Israel. Bill Kristol led the Project for the Republican Future before starting The Weekly Standard in 1995. At the Project, he helped shape the strategy that led to the 1994 Republican congressional victory. He served as chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle during the first Bush Administration from 1989 to 1993, and before that to Education Secretary William Bennett under President Reagan. He was on the faculty of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and the Department of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania prior to coming to Washington in 1985. Bill Kristol is known as one of the most influential neoconservative thinkers in Washington. He is the cofounder of the Project for the new American Century and the Foreign Policy Initiative. He has authored several books and articles in areas including foreign policy, constitutional law, and political philosophy. His books include The War in Iraq, The Neoconservative Imagination, Present Dangers, and The Future is Now: America Confronts the New Genetics. Bill Kristol received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.
