The 2013 Grateful Nation Award Honorees with Jackson Award Honoree Senator Mark Kirk and Admiral William H. McRaven.

On December 2, 2013 JINSA hosted its Annual Awards Dinner featuring the presentation of the 31st annual Henry M. Jackson Distinguished Service Award to Senator Mark Kirk and the presentation of the Grateful Nation Award to six young warriors for their superior conduct in the War on Terrorism. The same evening JINSA honored our Board of Advisors Chairman David Steinmann with the 2013 Leadership Award.

On November 20, 2013, Major General Rick Devereaux, USAF (Ret.) wrote an article in Defense News on how a change in tone of U.S. policy emboldens our enemies. General Devereaux was the former Director of Operational Planning, Policy, and Strategy and is an alumnus of JINSA's most recent Generals and Admirals Trip to Israel.
