Jackson Distinguished Service Award to Senator Mark Kirk and the presentation of the Grateful Nation Award to six young warriors for their superior conduct in the War on Terrorism. JINSA's Iran Task Force Panel "Redlines & Rouhani: Blueprint for U.S. Policy Toward Syria and Iran" was broadcast live on C-SPAN on September 4, 2013. The panel coincided with the release of the first report from JINSA's Gemunder Center Iran Task Force.

Dr. Michael Makovsky Meets with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 

In September, JINSA CEO Dr. Michael Makovsky met one- on-one with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his office in Jerusalem. During the meeting, the two discussed issues facing the U.S. and Israel such as Iran and Syria as well as Makovsky's book, Churchill's Promised Land, which explores the role that Zionism played in the world view of Winston Churchill.

Iran Task Force Panel Quoted in the Washington Free Beacon   

The Obama administration should launch an "intensive set of strikes" in Syria in order to set a clear signal to the Iranians that the United States is serious about preventing it from obtaining a nuclear weapon, a group of former Obama administration and State Department officials said on Wednesday during a policy discussion hosted by the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA).
