Join JINSA's brand new Iran Task Force at the National Press Club on June 10 for a panel discussion to introduce the task force, discuss the deliverables it expects to produce in the coming months and address recent developments surrounding U.S. policy toward Iran's nuclear program. JINSA has formed the Iran Task Force to address the challenges to U.S. national security of Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons capability. The task force will examine the strategic, economic and military options available to the United States and develop a robust U.S. strategy to prevent a nuclear Iran.

Generals and Admirals Return From Israel |
JINSA's General and Admirals trip returned to the U.S. in late May after 10 days in Israel. The recently retired senior American military officers met with the top echelon of the Israeli military and political leadership, ensuring that the delegation was well briefed on the security concerns of Israel, as well as the key role Israel plays as a friend and ally of the U.S. Stay tuned for a more complete report on the trip!

Longtime Officer David Justman Tapped to Serve As the New JINSA President |
Longtime JINSA Officer David Justman has been named as JINSA's new President. A resident of Los Angeles, California, Mr. Justman has a history of service to the organization, including most recently as the Co-Chairman of JINSA's prestigious Board of Advisors. "David has proven a very able and enthusiastic supporter and leader of JINSA for many years, and I'm looking forward to working with him closely," said Dr. Michael Makovsky, JINSA's Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director.

On May 5th and 6th, JINSA members gathered in Washington D.C. for the annual Spring Board Meeting. A highlight of the event was the introduction of JINSA's new CEO, Dr. Michael Makovsky, an expert on Iran's nuclear program and world oil markets. Day two of the board meeting took place at the Israeli Embassy, where members of the Israeli military gave briefings on the Middle East and the state of American-Israeli cooperation. Speakers included Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Maj. Gen. Yaakov Ayish, Deputy Defense Attaché Brig. Gen. Yaakov Shaharabani, R&D Attaché Col. Itzik Elimeleh, and Liaison Officer for the Israeli Missile Defense Organization Lt. Col. Merav Davidovitz. JINSA members also heard remarks from Congressman Ed Royce (R-CA). Concluding the day's events, Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren discussed the value of JINSA's promotion of lasting relations between the United States and Israel. | |

Steve Pomerantz, JINSA Director of Counter Terrorism Programs, appeared on Fox News to discuss the FBI's handling of the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects.
