Required Training for Camp

Texas law says completing BSA's online youth protection training isn't enough if you're going to attend, volunteer or work at our day camps or Webelos Extreme. Instead, you have to take a classroom-based course. It's good for 2 years, just like the online version.

Fall Recruiting Rocket Launch Events

As part of the Blast Into Scouting Fall Recruitment campaign, districts are scheduling rocket launches for the end of September and start of October. Visit with your district to find the best chance for your family, den, or pack to take part. Each free launch day comes with a patch for Scouts, and Scouts who bring a friend to a "Join Scouting Night" or rocket launch will receive an additional Recruiter patch.

Ready to Cross Over? Visit BeAScout.org

Scouts who have already received their Arrow of Light award or are finishing the fifth grade should start thinking about visiting Boy Scout Troops to continue their time in Scouting. Have them visit www.BeAScout.org or contact your district to find a troop. Start looking now to make sure there is still time to sign up for Boy Scout Summer Camp at Lost Pines.
