TechLab STEAM Camp Registration Open



Our best-in-class STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) day camp returns for 4 sessions at Anderson High School's Applied Technology Center, with programs for youth up to 9th grade. This year's theme is life on Mars!

High Adventure Opportunities Available



Troop 157 needs to fill 4 spots on its crews to Northern Tier this Summer, June 9-17. At least 1 spot must be filled by an adult, and the other 3 can be a mix of adults and Scouts. Summer NYLT Registration Opens



NYLT is a week-long course that gives Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturers methods, skills and experiences to become better leaders in their unit. The course centers around the concepts of what a leader must be, what he/she must know, and what he/she must do - with a clear focus on how to accomplish all this.

Class of 2015 Eagle Reception



We will recognize all Scouts earning the rank of Eagle in 2015 during special recognition receptions at the Fickett Center on Saturday, February 20. There is a morning and afternoon session. Attendees will receive a special Eagle Scout Class of 2015 coin minted exclusively for this occasion.

Join some outstanding Scouters and hear about exciting local Scouting programs on March 5 at the Capitol Area Council Silver Beaver Award Ceremony. This year's awards celebration is a reception featuring light hors d'oeuvres. Our featured speaker will be Eagle Scout Aaron Haley, Founder, Creative Director and Manager of SXSW Create.

Youth Protection Training (for camp)



Adults attending or working camps of 4 or more days must be current in the classroom-based Youth Protection Training course. This is different from the online version, and is state law - not a BSA rule. The next course is February 16.

2nd Annual Youth Protection Symposium



Make plans to attend our second annual Youth Protection Symposium, April 9, 10am-Noon at the Fickett Center. Brought to you in cooperation with Mothers Against Drunk Driving, this FREE program will include information to help empower District and Unit Youth Protection Champions, plus key presentations on keeping kids safe on social media and combating underage drinking and keeping kids safe from online predators. Special guests include Judge and Texas Department of Family Protective Services Commissioner, John J. Specia, Jr., and KVUE News Anchor Terri Gruca.
