Take The C.A.T. Today!
UNCLE SAM
Have you finished your Congregation Assesment Tool (C.A.T.) yet?  To date we've received less than 50 responses!  We need your input! Go to this link and take the survey as soon as possible.  It should only take 20 minutes, or less. Your survey identity is completely anonymous, so please be brutally honest. The Congregation Assessment Tool will help the Session and congregation plot our course for the future. This feedback is vitally important for Warner to be at its best in serving God, our faith community, and those beyond the community. Laptops and iPads are available after worship for those who do not have access to a computer.
Rev. Ruth Everhart Joins Us Next Sunday
Next Sunday, June 5, Ruth Everhart will lead the adult education class at 9:30 and will be the guest preacher for the 11:00 worship service.  She is a writer and Presbyterian pastor who has been serving churches for more than two decades. The author of Chasing the Divine in the Holy Land, Ruth is also an avid blogger and frequent speaker on topics related to spirituality, such as pilgrimage and healing from sexual violence.

Rev. Everhart currently lives in the Washington DC area with her family.  For the adult class, Ruth will discuss her newest book, Ruined which will be available for purchase in August.  "Told with astonishing candor and unflinching honesty, Ruined is an extraordinary emotional and spiritual journey that begins with an unspeakable act of violence and ends with tremendous healing and profound spiritual insights about faith, forgiveness, and the will of God."  - excerpt from Good Reads
PW Birthday Offering Concludes This Sunday
PW Throughout the month of May, Presbyterian Women (PW) have collected the Birthday Offering that supports mission projects throughout the world.  Everyone is invited to make an offering (perhaps based on the years of your life) as a birthday gift to support  the various  organizations across the country and internationally, which this year include Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley in Oakland, California and Building Minds in South Sudan operating out of Pittsford, New York.

Much of Sunday's music comes from "O Sing Unto The Lord", a  short 7-movement work  by George Frideric Handel based on Psalms 96 and 93.  The work is one of 12 "Chandos Anthems" written between 1717 and 1720 for an English nobleman, James of Chandos.

Ruth McMichael's funeral will take place at Warner Memorial this Wednesday, June 1, at 2 pm.  The Deacons will be coordinating the reception following the service.  Please continue to be in prayer for the family and for all who feel this loss.

Team 5 will host fellowship hour this Sunday, June 5.  Team 5, led by Kline and Moody, includes Koch, Koff, Kramer, Letizia, Luff, MacDonald, Stalker and Gorman. Contact your team leader(s) if you have any questions.  If you are not currently assigned to a team and wish to join one, please contact Sue Burns.

HUNGRY BARREL
Show your love for the less fortunate of the area by bringing food for the "For I Was Hungry" barrel this Sunday. The MUM (Mid County United Ministries) pantry is in particular need of cereal, 1 lb. bags of rice and cans of black beans.

STEPHEN MINISTRY When is the time we need God's love the most? Of course, we need that love every second of every day. But there are times when His love is especially precious to us: when we are seriously ill, or we lose a loved one, or life becomes to confusing that we do not know where to turn, or when depression sets in. Our congregation has trained lay people, Stephen Ministers, who offer a ministry of Christian caring. To find out more about Stephen Ministry, please speak to Barbara Jaquette or Rev. Hill.
