Flat Daddy by Christmas resource
December 18, 2007
Dear Newsletter Buddies, I have great news and it's really time sensitive! I was at my local OfficeMax the other day picking up a print job and I noticed that in the Copy Center there they have a new large format copier. I asked about it and found out that it's capable of making posters 24" X 36" which is large enough to be a Flat Daddy. And, the best part is that when you go into your local OfficeMax you don't have to wait for shipping so you can have one by CHRISTMAS! The price is really good too, starting at $29 for just a plain copy on plain paper or $40 for glossy paper. It's still not the wonderful vinyl that SFC prints on, and it's not free, but while you're waiting to get yours from them, this might fill in for the holidays. IF you get one of the paper ones, please plan on spray mounting it on a foamcore board because it's not too strong by itself. So check out your OfficeMax to see if they have this same kind of copier. I understand that they can make it from either a high quality 8X10 print, or better yet, a digital photo. Also for Christmas, I found this amazing children's book and I love it! It's called "The Soldier's Night Before Christmas" and it's based on the famous "Night Before Christmas" poem but way better! You can find it at any bookstore and it's really inexpensive so you can have it to share with the kids. It's wonderfully illustrated and the story is touching and funny at the same time. I know you'll love it no matter what branch of service you're in.
Merry Christmas and you're in my prayers! Elaine Dumler
