Important FAFSA Information
The 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application will be available beginning January 1, 2016. To avoid delays in processing your FAFSA, you should create an FSA ID now if you have not yet done so. If you are a dependent student, your parent will need to create an FSA ID, as well. Because the FSA ID serves as a legal signature, you and your parent cannot share an FSA ID. For security reasons, you and your parent must use different email addresses when creating FSA IDs.
The Department of Education has changed the log-in procedure for the FAFSA. If you find it a challenge to complete your FAFSA application using the new User ID and Password, information about how to navigate this new process is available on the Federal Student Aid
website. You may also drop in to the Financial Aid Lab
during lab hours or visit the new Financial Aid Office at the Brentwood Center for assistance.
