Explore Transfer Options this Summer

 

Transfer Services is open this summer and looking forward to helping students explore transfer options.  Services available during summer session are:
  • General Transfer Assistance
  • University Rep visits
  • Transfer coaching

Check out the online university representative schedule and make an appointment with the representative of the college of your choice. For transfer coaching, contact Transfer Services at (925) 473-7444 or just drop by the front desk on the upper level of the Student Services Center.

 
Important Dates  
  • June 15 - July 23 -- Traditional six-week summer session
  • July 1 -- Last day to apply for Summer 2015 graduation
  • July 3-4 -- Independence Day, College Closed
  • July 27 -- Fall 2015 walk-in registration begins
  • July 28 -- Fall 2015 registration for Special Admit/Concurrent high school students
  • August 15 -- Fall 2015 classes begin

Transfer graduate 2015 Congratulations Spring 2015 Graduates!

Congratulations to the LMC class of 2015!  If you graduated in May, your degrees will be posted by June 30 and you can expect to receive your diploma in the mail by July 15. Best of luck as you continue on the next exciting chapter of your lives.

Appeals

All appeals and completion of the SAP online quiz are due July 1.

 

Direct Loans

All requested documents for direct loans, as well as attendance at a loan workshop, must be completed by July 1.

Watch your InSite email for notification of your 2015-2016 Financial Aid Status. Notification emails began going out in May. 

 

Remember, checking your Missing Information Checklist on InSite and submitting all  requested documents or information will help us get you through the financial aid process in a timely manner.

New FAFSA User ID Challenges

If you are finding it a challenge to complete your FAFSA application using the new User ID and Password, you are not alone! Check out the FSA ID webpage for information about how to navigate the new process.

 

Assistance is also available at the Financial Aid Lab and at the Financial Aid Workshops held at both Pittsburg and Brentwood campuses.

Blood Drive

Student Life and Blood Centers of the Pacific will be hosting a blood drive on campus on Wednesday, July 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Library Community Room (L109). Join the LMC Student Government!

Los Medanos College Associated Students (LMCAS) has positions open for student government senators.  Join the student government and help plan fun events, provide valuable services to students, and most importantly, be the "voice" of your student body.  The fall application deadline is Monday, September 28. Be a Student Life Ambassador!

Are you interested in developing your leadership abilities? Want to meet new people and help plan exciting campus events? If so, apply to become a Student Life ambassador. Student Life ambassadors have a passion for providing leadership development opportunities that support students in becoming agents of social change. Ambassadors will be required to commit to a year-long work schedule, including trainings, meetings, regular office hours each week and additional hours for scheduled events and activities. Counseling
Counseling by appointment and drop-in counseling are available throughout the summer at the Brentwood Center.  Please check the Student Services page on the Brentwood Center website for more information.

Financial Aid Workshops

Learn about the various federal and state grants, then receive hands-on assistance in completing the FAFSA online at Brentwood Center. All workshops are held in Room 9. See the Financial Aid Workshops webpage for days and hours.

Bookstore Update

The Brentwood Center Bookstore will be open for summer textbook sales through Monday, June 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
