• August 7 -- Begin Fall 2013 open/walk-in registration for all college students
• August 8 -- Begin Fall 2013 registration for  all special admit/concurrent high school students    
• August 16 -- Fall semester begins  
• August 16-29 -- Late enrollment on a space-available basis
• August 29 -- Last day to add full-term classes or drop full-term classes and receive a refund or credit
• August 31 -- College closed, no Saturday classes   
• September 2 -- Labor Day holiday, college closed

Admissions Reminders  

Check Your Wait List!

If you are on a wait list, be sure to check your InSite email frequently. If you are sent an e-mail granting you permission to enroll for a wait-listed class, you must enroll within 3 calendar days.  

Late Enrollment Reminder 

Once classes begin, all students who wish to add a class must have a late add code for each class in which they want to enroll. If you receive a late add code from an instructor, use it immediately to enroll on WebAdvisor. You must be officially enrolled in the class by the last day to add; for full-term classes, this is August 29.

Graduation

Students who completed their academic requirements in spring 2013 should have received their diplomas in the mail by now. If you applied for Summer 2013 graduation, your diploma will be mailed to you in October. Please check WebAdvisor to make sure we have your correct mailing address.

Transfer Center Updates    

University representatives are on campus this summer to meet with students who may be interested in transferring to their schools. To make an appointment with the CSU East Bay Rep on July 29, call (925) 439-2181, ext. 3124 or stop by the Transfer Center to schedule an appointment.  For drop-in hours with reps from UC Berkeley, University of Phoenix or Brandman University, see the University Rep Schedule.

Fall 2013 schedules of campus representative visits, campus tours and transfer workshops will be available early in September.

Student Life News  

Mustang Madness, a week of festive activities to greet our new students and welcome continuing students back to LMC, will take place from Friday, August 16 through Friday, August 23. This event is sponsored by the HSI EXITO Grant, LMCAS, and Student Life. Mustangs -- show your pride!  

Join us for Mustang Day on Tuesday, August 20 in the outdoor quad from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Find valuable information from LMC Student Services departments, academic programs, student clubs and a variety of colleges. Free hot dogs, games, and prizes!

Join the LMC Student Government!

The Los Medanos College Associated Students (LMCAS) has positions open for student government senators and representatives.  Join the student government and help plan fun events, provide valuable services to students, and most importantly, be the "voice" of your student body.  The fall application deadline is Monday, September 30, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. Weekly meetings are held on Mondays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in L105. Application    

Inter-Club Council Meetings

Weekly meetings begin on Monday, August 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in L106. ICC is the coordinating body for all clubs and organizations on campus. ICC promotes engagement in community and college activities.

Student Club Orientation

Orientations are scheduled throughout the first few weeks of each semester.  Clubs chartering later in the semester will need to make an appointment for an orientation. The deadline to complete the club charter process is Monday, October 7. All club orientations will be held in Student Life Conference Room GA-5. Check the LMC Clubs & Organizations page for dates and times.

Textbook Rental Reminder  

Summer rental textbooks are due back to the LMC Bookstore no later than Thursday, July 25 at 5:00 p.m.

Fall 2013 Books

Fall 2013 textbooks will become available for rent or purchase on August 9. Books may be purchased at the Bookstore or online at www.lmcbookstore.net. Rental books are available at the Bookstore only.
