ISRAEL'S LARGEST CULTURE FESTIVAL TO FEATURE LIVE PERFORMANCES BY ISRAELI AND INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS IN JERUSALEM THROUGH JUNE 22

The 52nd annual Israel Festival will showcase dance, music and theater performances by international and Israeli artists in Jerusalem, through June 22, 2013. Israel's largest art and culture festival, the Israel Festival will showcase a diverse selection of performances in concert halls, theaters and outdoor venues throughout Jerusalem, including Housen, a site-specific dance adaptation of House at the Hansen House in Jerusalem's Talbiya neighborhood, June 6 and June 8; a dance performance by the Grand Théâtre de Genève at the Jerusalem Theater, Sherover Hall, June 7-8; and a performance of The Animals and Children Took to the Streets by the 1927 Theater Company at Beit Shmuel Guest House, June 8-9. www.israel-festival.org.il

INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION TO BE DISPLAYED IN ISRAEL FOR THE FIRST-TIME EVER AT ERETZ ISRAEL MUSEUM THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2, 2013

Global Nature, Local Nature, a renowned international exhibition of wildlife photography sponsored by the Natural History Museum in London and the BBC, will be on display in Israel for the first time ever at the Eretz Israel Museum in Jerusalem through September 2, 2013. The exhibition features 100 photographs of wildlife taken by international photographers in different locations around the world. http://eretzmuseum.org.il/e/

ISRAEL MUSEUM PRESENTS FIRST SOLO EXHIBITION OF ISRAELI ARTIST YEHUDIT SASPORTAS

Jerusalem's Israel Museum will present the first-ever solo exhibition of Israeli artist Yehudit Sasportas, on display through October 19, 2013. The exhibition will showcase works from the artist's new series, Yehudit Sasportas: Seven Winters, featuring films alongside massive sculptures and black and white drawings, charting the evolution of the artist's imagery of primordial landscapes and modernist architecture. www.english.imjnet.org.il

NEW EXHIBITION SHOWCASING PHOTOGRAPHY FROM 20TH-CENTURY WAVE OF IMMIGRATION NOW ON DISPLAY AT THE ISRAEL MUSEUM

A new exhibition showcasing more than 220 photographs from world-renowned artists and photographers, entitled Displaced Visions: Émigré Photographers of the 20th Century, is now on display at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem through October 5. The exhibition features works by world-renowned artists, including Bill Brandt, Robert Frank, Andre Kertesz, Man Ray and Weegee, depicting each artist's experience of immigration in the 20th century. www.english.imjnet.org.il 

TOWER OF DAVID MUSEUM IN JERUSALEM HOSTS NEW FASHION AND DESIGN EXHIBITIONS THROUGH SEPTEMBER 2013

The Tower of David Museum is hosting two new fashion- and design-focused exhibitions this summer, including Threads, a display of images and fashion designs created by local artists and inspired by Jerusalem residents of the past and present. The museum is also showcasing Suspicious Objects, an exhibition presenting various industrial design works created by Israeli artists in the museum's ancient Phasael Tower, which was originally built by King Herod more than 2,000 years ago. Both exhibitions will be on display through September 2013. www.towerofdavid.org.il

SECOND ANNUAL LIGHT IN JERUSALEM FESTIVAL TO ILLUMINATE OLD CITY SITES, JUNE 5-13, 2013

The second annual Light in Jerusalem Festival will include colorful lighting displays projected onto Old City sites and buildings, as well as special events and tours, June 5-13. The festival will feature lighting installations by renowned international and Israeli light artists and nighttime illuminated tours through the Old City, as well as light-body designers, outdoor performances and the Q, a rock 'n' roll circus performing the hits of Queen. http://en.lightinjerusalem.org.il/2013

JERUSALEM'S IN-HOUSE FESTIVAL TO FEATURE PERFORMANCES BY ISRAELI ARTISTS IN HISTORIC BUILDINGS AND PRIVATE RESIDENCES, JULY 1-4

Jerusalem's In-House Festival will include performances and events featuring Israeli directors, actors, musicians and dancers in some of the city's most intriguing homes, July 1-4. This year's festival will also include specially commissioned productions, including a music performance in a luxury apartment, an "old-time" house party with Coolooloosh and Layer Z, two original productions created by Israeli director Naomi Yoeli, a miniature theater in an Indian kitchen and a North African cultural celebration, among other events.
