The Wilderness Earthquake
A Nation Divided - Again
The earth helped the woman, and the earth
opened her mouth, and swallowed up
the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Rev 12:16
Since the earthquake in Revelation 12:16 is to be in
the wilderness we can expect the wilderness to
divide at that time. A subtle confirmation of this
is found in Revelation chapter 13.
The Two Horned Beast
A Subtle Prophecy of America's Fate
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the
earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and
he spake as a dragon. Rev. 13:11
The two horns of the second beast of Revelation 13
signify that the United States will divide. The
significance of its two horns
becomes apparent when you consider how arms,
horns, legs and toes have been used in the extended
prophecies of the seven beasts. Let's go back to the
beginning with the vision of the metal man. (Dan 2)
Babylon was signified as a head of Gold. It's
two arms represented
the combined Kingdom of the Medes and the
Persians. The metal man is always pictured with
arms
folded because the two kingdoms became one.
Greece had a notable horn which represented
Alexander but
four horns emerged when the notable was
broken. Greece divided into four kingdoms after his
death.
The two legs anticipated the
division
of Rome East and West. This beast
had ten horns which were a prophecy that it
would
be shattered into ten kingdoms.
The three horns were the three barbarian
kingdoms plucked
up. A
little horn
emerged in their place which represented the Papacy.
It ruled over the Holy Roman Empire or the 5th
beast of Revelation. The 6th or pit beast has no
horns.
To be consistent with the prophecy, these two horns
could only mean that the second beast of Revelation
13 will divide.
In the end, it has joined the two other beasts that
comprise the
8th of 7. So when the land beast divides
the 8th beast will divide as well.
America will Divide North and South Again
Zechariah Provides the Clue
Half of the mountain shall remove toward the
north, and half of it toward the south. As did
the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of
Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the
saints with
thee. Zec 14:4,5
Zechariah repeatedly shifts his focus from his day to
the end of the age with visions of "New" Jerusalem.
His visions in chapters 12-14 see end time Israel
spread abroad from Old Jerusalem living in prosperity
in cities without walls or gates.
The earthquake in Uzziah's day (Amos 1:1) was a
literal earthquake that rocked Jerusalem. This is a
figurative earthquake that divides figurative or "New"
Jerusalem in the wilderness. This is the same
earthquake as Rev 12:16, Rev. 13:12 and Rev. 16:15.
Mountain is commonly used to signify a nation. So
the "earthquake" or political revolution will divide the
nation in half north and south. It will occur at the
time of Christ's return to "New" Jerusalem.
The Fourth Beast Divided East and West
The 6th Seal Earthquake a Type of 7th Vial Earthquake
In the 6th seal we saw a political revolution in which
Christianity overthrew Paganism. The 7th
vial "earthquake" is a counter-revolution.
Paganism is overturning the Christian
order.
The 6th seal revolution was followed by the division of
the Roman Empire (the 4th beast) into two parts
East and West. The 7th vial earthquake will
divide
the 8th beast North and South.
The 6th seal is the key to understanding the 7th vial. In
it we see the fulfillment of the prophetic
expression "earthquake" and this helps us
understand the GREAT "earthquake" of Revelation 16.
