National Paralegal Reporter Going Green!
NFPA Reporter
As you know, many of our firms, companies, schools and associations have launched "Going Green" initiatives and NFPA is doing its part.  Having received many requests from members to publish a digital format of the National Paralegal Reporter, NFPA has launched its own "Going Green" initiative.  The June/July and October/November issues will be in digital format only.  The remaining issues will be printed issues, also available in digital format.  When selecting from the viewing options for the Reporter on the website, viewing in Flash allows page turning just like reading the hard copy of the magazine.  We hope you enjoy the digital format and thank you for working with NFPA to help the environment in which we all live and work.

What Does NFPA's Vice President and Director of Positions & Issues Do?    Lisa Vessels

The Vice President and Director of Positions & Issues (VPPI) assists  the President and the Vice President and Director of Profession Development in leading NFPA and the paralegal profession by addressing positions and issues that will directly affect the Federation and the profession. If the President and the Vice President and Director of Profession Development are incapable of performing their duties, the VPPI will assume the duties of the President.  NFPA's current VPPI is Lisa Vessels, RP, CP, FRP.  Lisa has been a paralegal for 21 years, and is currently Elite Systems Docket Manager at Duane Morris LLP.  Her local association is the South Florida Paralegal Association (SFPA).  Prior to her election as VPPI, Lisa served as NFPA's Regulation Review Coordinator from 2009 to 2012, and served SFPA as its President, Treasurer, Secretary, Bar Liaison, Membership Chair, NFPA Primary, FAPA Delegate, Immediate Past President  and Webmaster.  She also served the Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations as its President, Vice President, Immediate Past President and Webmaster.  Lisa's favorite hobbies include crocheting (especially making baby blankets for friends) and gardening (orchids, and recently, vegetables).  In her spare time, she volunteers for her local Girl Scout council providing basic troop training for adult leaders.
