From Our President:
The 2015-16 school year is right around the corner. We have spent the summer working with summer camps that provided quality education as well as entertainment for their campers. The summer months also provided the time to catch up and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Our dedicated and energetic Program Staff reached well over 50,000 students last year and will surpass that this school year. Additional funding and additional volunteers to teach the additional JA programs are needed. JA Girl$ and JA Boy$ have lofty student reach goals, and we will also launch the Bank of America / JA Financial Literacy Center in New Town during this school year. In short, we will be very busy again this year and appreciate your support.

JA of North Florida JA Company Program

JA Company Program
is a fun, interactive way to teach students real-life business skills and leave them inspired to build a career and launch their own dreams.

We are looking for volunteers to become JA Company Program Ambassadors to local teens within Duval County. This isn't just another class; students are actually starting their own company and need your expertise!

"The new JA Company Program gives students the opportunity to play a greater leadership role in the process with volunteers encouraging them to find their voice and spark the entrepreneurial spirit," said Jack E. Kosakowski, president and CEO of Junior Achievement USA.

Confirmed schools for 2015-2016 (Starting in the fall):

Junior Achievement of North Florida summer camp

Lutheran Social Services taught "JA Career Success" as enrichment to their summer camp this summer. With our curriculum, the refugee participants learned about personal traits and workplace skills that will help them succeed in the workforce and beyond.

Volunteer opportunities for the new school year
We are always in need of classroom volunteers to teach our K-12 programs in financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness. Volunteer opportunities as of August 13 include:
  • Teach JA Career Success at Biscayne High School starting September 1
  • Teach one of our gender-specific programs, JA Boy$ or JA Girl$
  • Become a JA Company Program Ambassador to a group of high school students starting their own business
