Greetings colleague,

The pop of spring foliage and increased daylight always brings new energy to the medical campus. As we wind down this academic year, before recharging for the next one, we invite you to virtually experience some of our annual rites of passage.

We asked MD alumni to share experiences of their own Match Day, and then displayed them throughout Hiebert Lounge as part of the celebration in March. Students shared their match selections at a selfie photo booth and pinned their new locations on an over-sized map of the US.

Alumni gathered in the city and on campus for Alumni Weekend activities, including milestone reunions and the alumni banquet. Faculty, students and staff joined us in extending a warm welcome to visitors and returning alumni. We recognized Jeffrey Liebmann '83 and David Penson '91 for their distinguished careers in medicine.

As we begin to close our fiscal year, I am happy to report that, to date, contributions from alumni are up by 24% over this time last year and total revenue is up by nearly 60%. I cannot emphasize enough how important this is for BUSM students. Scholarship dollars continue to be a top priority for Dean Karen Antman and she has directed much of her unrestricted annual fund dollars to this need. Contributions are always welcome! We are grateful for your support.

BUSM continues to thrive and flourish. As always, I encourage you to explore the changes taking place in the medical school and on campus, whether virtually or in person. And please stop by the Alumni Office to say hello. The alumni team welcomes visitors!
