Bicycles and motor vehicles: Share the road

Oregon law gives bicyclists the same access to public roads as motorists, as defined in the Oregon Revised Statutes Summary. Under Oregon's "Bike Bill," bicycle/pedestrian facilities in public right-of-way must be included wherever a road, street or highway is rebuilt or built. The Oregon Driver Manual and the County Traffic Safety website have information about motorists and bicyclists sharing roadways, particularly in areas that do not yet have bicycle/pedestrian facilities.   Bicycle & Pedestrian Program  Sharing the Road: Cyclists and Motorists
