CCMTA is the official organization in Canada responsible for coordinating the administration, regulation, and control of motor vehicle transportation and highway safety.
Specifically, CCMTA's mission is to champion improved road safety, and to harmonize driver and motor vehicle licensing and regulation by means of a national forum that targets the development and exchange of public policy and best practices.
CCMTA's national forum is comprised of representatives of all the provincial, territorial, and federal governments of Canada. These meet twice a year to make decisions on administrative and operational road safety matters through a collective, consultative process. It is also comprised of associates who contribute their expertise and opinions to the development of strategies and programs.
CCMTA's Board of Directors and Standing Committees meet once in the fall and once in the spring at its Annual Meeting.
