2014 ANNUAL MEETING
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
About CCMTA

CCMTA is the official organization in Canada for coordinating all matters dealing with the administration, regulation and control of motor vehicle transportation and highway safety.

CCMTA's Mission is to champion improved road safety and harmonized driver and motor vehicle related licensing and regulation through a national forum for the development and exchange of public policy and best practices.

CCMTA's national forum is comprised of representatives of all provincial, territorial and federal governments of Canada, who meet twice a year, to make decisions on administration and operational road safety matters through a collective consultative process. It also comprises associates whose expertise and opinions are sought in the development of strategies and programs.

CCMTA's Board of Directors and Standing Committees meet in the fall and at its Annual Meeting in the spring. The CCMTA Annual Meeting provides an excellent opportunity to engage with other stakeholders within the road safety community.

About CCMTA`s Annual Meeting

CCMTA's Annual Meeting is a unique event, bringing together key people from government and industry in the field of motor transport administration and regulation in Canada. It is the largest gathering in Canada of highway safety administrators. The Annual Meeting also provides exhibition and sponsorship opportunities. As additional information on the Meeting becomes available, it can be found at www.ccmta.ca.

The 2014 CCMTA Annual Meeting will be held from May 25-28 in Toronto, Ontario. The theme of this Meeting is Transportation Tomorrow! Modernize. Measure. Connect.

We will be building on the success demonstrated at recent Annual Meetings whereby we held educational sessions as part of the Annual Meeting program. We are pleased to be holding these sessions again in 2014. To assist us in achieving our goal and to ensure we are as collaborative as possible, we are seeking your input for the development of the educational program by way of a Call for Presentations.

About the Presentation Sessions

Government members, associates, stakeholders and industry professionals are invited to participate in the Call for Presentation Process in order to help build the educational program. We ask you to consider submitting an application that outlines your interest in providing insight into a particular topic for CCMTA's consideration to be incorporated in the program of the 2014 Annual Meeting.

We will run the simultaneous educational sessions during the Annual Meeting on the afternoon of Sunday, May 25, 2014. Delegates will be given the choice to attend the sessions that most appeal to them.

This year, we will also be publishing the session titles and topics in our Annual Meeting registration package, slated to be distributed in January 2014.

Remember - the educational sessions must be linked to the 2014 Annual Meeting Theme of Transportation Tomorrow! Modernize. Measure. Connect.

In support of the theme, please reflect upon the information below when submitting your application:

Modernize:

Modernizing systems, application for new technologies, emerging vehicle technologies, business procedures, and/or researching and implementing new road safety policies into Canada's Road Safety Strategy 2015.

Measure:
New methods or applications in measuring improvements to road safety programs and/or license/registration/motor carrier administration and enforcement. Consider asking yourselves, "How do we, or can we, measure impact and effectiveness" in the work we do?

Connect:
Connecting with the public and/or stakeholders. Consider asking yourselves, "How do we, or can we, use new techniques or campaigns to better connect with the public and industry, raise awareness and use public education to change behavior to improve road safety"?

Please consider this opportunity to collaborate by showcasing your road safety initiatives that contribute to our theme of Transportation Tomorrow! Modernize. Measure. Connect.
