Foreclosure activity plunges in California with new laws in effect
New California foreclosure actions posted a sharp plunge in the first quarter to levels not seen since the last housing boom. Lenders filed 18,567 mortgage default notices on California houses and condominiums during the first three months of the year. Playa Vista, on occasion, has slightly less-than-perfect weather. Call it June Gloom, it sometimes happens right about NOW!
Whether you work from a home office, or head out the door in the morning, a crockpot (aka slow cooker) is magical for June Gloom dinners. This Green Turkey Chili is light, hearty, full of flavor and I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like it. Leftovers? Just as yummy reheated. Freezes great, too.
Let's make your life even MORE simple. Just prep your ingredients and put everything into a bowl in the fridge overnight, then first thing in the morning, put into the cooker, turn the dial to LOW and off you go. You'll be really, really, REALLY happy to smell a homecooked meal like this -- cooking all by itself -- when dinnertime rolls around.
I always add a scoop of brown rice, but it's pretty much perfect without it.
