Chamber Connection

"You attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude." - Zig Ziglar

March 11, 2014

A wise man -or puppet, rather- once said 'It's not easy being green'. Well, sorry Kermit, but this week the Chamber has to disagree! As spring rolls out across our beautiful city, the sidewalks and streets are getting greener, new businesses are 'springing' into existence, and of course, the Chamber is working as hard as ever to put more 'green' in the pockets of local business owners.

As you'll see in our new member section, one new business is Carolyn Atkinson's Rodan & Fields operation. We are excited to welcome her to Chamber membership, and we hope you'll read all about the exciting line of products she has brought to Hartsville. Of course, the Chamber has known Carolyn for some time now, and she's no 'greenhorn' when it comes to business, so we know she'll enjoy plenty of success!

St. Patrick's Day is on Monday, March 17, so go out and grab some green garb from Hartsville's great garment stores: Belk, Hartsville Army-Navy, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Minnie's Giftique, Lulu's, and Wal-Mart! Save some green and look good doing it!

Ok, ready for one last 'green' gag? Stop by the Chamber office this week to enter Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork's drawing for a FREE 60-minute massage. If you win, won't your friends be green with envy?

March 26, 8am - 5pm

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center

The 2014 Women in Business Seminar is an all-day event for the community's businesswomen to learn, network, and grow. This year's theme is 'Preventive Maintenance for Every Aspect of Your Life'. Expert presentations will touch on topics such as: Career, Health, Body, Appearance, Vehicle, and Legal Documents. As you know, preventive maintenance of each of these aspects is of critical importance, and the Chamber has assembled a great group of speakers to help address these concerns. The dynamic lineup of presenters includes some of the best and brightest businesspeople Hartsville has to offer, so you do not want to miss your opportunity to learn from these local luminaries!

In addition to the great speakers and presentations, the Seminar offers attendees a chance to meet and develop relationships with some of Hartsville's most important individuals. The fabulous networking at the event is just another reason to save the date!

Carolina Pines Regional Medical center is hosting this Chamber event again, and we look forward to seeing you at the Seminar! Tickets are limited, and the event has been a sellout in the past, so get your tickets today by contacting the Chamber.
