Chamber Connection

"To expect the unexpected shows a thoroughly modern intellect" - Oscar Wilde

February 6, 2014
Now, we aren't saying that a lot of people are responding to our weekly poll questions and the responses we are receiving are quite interesting. It was a 50/50 split for the Super Bowl question. Sorry Bronco fans. Congratulations Seahawk fans. Also, 80% of responders are most passionate about education over infrastructure (20%), health care (no votes) and environment/energy (no votes). The question receiving the most voting participants was the food question! Fifty-seven percent of respondents prefer shrimp, which is why we chose to include shrimp and grits for the Annual Banquet buffet. Thank you all for voting! Again, we aren't saying that these statistics are representative of a large sample. Imagine the strength of voice the Chamber could have if more people participated in the polls....
Next up from the Chamber, our Annual Business Expo! You won't want to miss this networking opportunity presented by Raceway Ford Chevrolet. Not only is the Business Expo the perfect venue for new and existing businesses to develop important networking relationships, it is a fabulous opportunity for the community to learn about local products and services in one, warm, location; the YMCA of the Upper Pee Dee! See the spotlight section for details! Reserve your booth space today!
