Happy New Year!

Patchogue celebrated the first Midnight on Main St. event on December 31. Thousands filled the streets to ring in the New Year at 9 p.m. since Patchogue is...ahead of its time! It was a great event for families to come out and celebrate but be warm at home in time for the Times Square event. Plans for next year's festivities are already in the works.

There is no rest for the Chamber as we begin preparations for 2015. A master calendar of events is being created for the Greater Patchogue area which will help us to better coordinate efforts and advertise across Long Island.

We are also looking into 'green' initiatives to help support the environment. 'Green members' will receive added benefits to membership to promote their business and more.

The Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce is also investigating new and innovative ways to support small business owners and encourage retail growth in Patchogue.

Our monthly meetings, networkings and other activities provide members with excellent opportunities to connect with peers and develop new business relationships and partnerships. These connections we make with fellow members also help us to gain valuable insight to challenges facing today's business owners.

We would like to encourage our members to share their challenges with us so that we can better assist in developing creative business solutions and are currently seeking guest speakers that can address these challenges. If you would like to be a guest speaker, have an idea for one, or would like to host a networking event, please contact the Chamber office at info@patchogue.com or 631-207-1000.

Let's work together to make 2015

our most successful year to date!
