If you are looking for a unique gift to give a friend or loved one this season look no further than the Greater Patchogue Foundation. On December 2, support #GivingTuesday, a national movement to encourage individuals to replace a material gift with the gift of charity. Donors can choose to support the Greater Patchogue Foundation Scholarship fund, Beautification Committee, COAD or to the Foundation in any amount of their choosing.    Second Annual Fall Festival

This year's festival, held on Saturday October 18, was a great success. Hundreds came to Patchogue to enjoy shopping and dining along Main Street.

We also held our second annual Chili & Chowder contest. The winner for Best Chili was Goldberg's Famous Bagels with their entry, 'Goldberg's Famous Beef and Vegetable Chili!' Honorable mention goes to Hoptron Brewtique for 'Beer & Butternut Squash Chili (made with Barrier Brewing Co.'s Hot Burning Love Chili Beer)' and to The Village Idiot Pub for 'Porky's Revenge.'

The award for Best Chowder went to That Meetball Place with their entry of 'Sea Bass & Roasted Corn Chowder.' Honorable mention goes to BrickHouse Brewery & Restaurant for 'Classic New England Clam Chowder' and to The Cheese Patch for their entry, 'Big John Potato & Corn Chowder with Pancetta.'

This year was extremely competitive. Every entry received several votes and those who won did so by a slim margin. Congratulations to all!

Thank you to the volunteers on the Business Promotion Committee for organizing the event!
