Hello Fellow Members,

Autumn has arrived! And even though summer is past us, the Chamber continues to be active with many fun events and member activities. Still, what a summer it has been!

Alive After Five® 2014 was our biggest and best ever. We had more stages of music, an expanded children's section, a
large presence of artists plying their talents live on the streets, and of course the best food, craft beer and local live music found anywhere on Long Island. Well over 40,000 visitors came over the four beautiful evenings the events were held. And, as special attraction, nationally known Hip Hop artist Biz Markie, who was born in Patchogue, and guitarist "Captain" Kirk Douglas of the Roots (Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show house band), who hails from Holbrook, appeared at Alive After Five® to receive special honors from many of our local officials for their contributions to American music.A huge thank you to Alive After Five® Chairman James Skidmore and the Committee for making this an Alive After Five® season we will never forget.

Adding to our "Super Summer" were the largest Family Fun Night and Oldies Car Show we ever had thanks to Lori Belmonte and our Business Promotions Committee. If you expect things to "cool down" for the Fall, you would be mistaken.

Tonight we will be holding our next member Networking Event, a cocktail reception being held at Suffolk County National Bank, 2801 Route 112, Suite B in Medford from 5-7p.m.

At this event we will be welcoming their new Branch Manager and V.P. Nick Felix. Following, on Tuesday, September 23 we will present one of our most popular Membership gatherings, our Annual Meeting at the Casino Café, Davis Park, Fire Island. The cost of this is $50.00 per person and includes a full buffet dinner as well as the ferry trip to and from Fire Island. The ferry will leave the Davis Park Terminal at approximately 5:30p.m. that evening. Please contact me at info@patchogue.com to reserve your spot at these member events.

Finally, don't forget to bring the whole family to Main Street on Saturday, September 27, 12-5p.m. for the Annual St. Liberata Italian Festival. There will be great food, music, a traditional Italian "Parade of the Saint" and activities for the whole family. There will also be a Bocce Ball Tournament. You can enter a two or four man team. Cost is $25.00 per person. For more information please contact the Chamber office. Put your team together today and join in on the fun!

I look forward to see you at all these great Chamber events and activities throughout the month of September!

Sincerely,

David Kennedy
