Executive Director's Message
Hello fellow members,
Just as the calendar is suggesting, the Chamber "Marches" on!
On Saturday, March 8 at 1pm we welcome one of our newest members, SaluMed Pharmacy. They are located at 176 W Main St, Patchogue. Join us for their ribbon cutting!
March also provides our members' meeting and networking opportunities. On Wednesday, March 19 we will hold our next Networking Event. This month we will celebrate our Route 112/Medford Avenue Members at Rudi's Bar & Grill, located at 554 Route 112, Patchogue. Included in this newsletter is a flyer with all the information on this event. All members are welcome to join us.
We have a very special guest speaker for our next General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, March 25, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. The County Executive will be highlighting his initiatives to assist small business owners. The meeting will be held from 6pm - 8pm at the Patchogue-Medford Library (Lower Level, Meeting Room A-B) Please let's do all we can to attend this important gathering and help welcome our County Executive to Patchogue.
Last, but certainly not least, the Irish Fun continues on Sunday March 30 with our annual St. Patrick's Parade and 'May the Road Rise to Meet Ye' 5K. The Parade and Race will commence at 12:30pm at the Intersection of Route 112 and Main Street, starting with our hearty runners then followed by the Parade. For all those wanting to participate in the 5K, we've made registration easy - just click May the Road Rise to Meet Ye 5K and an online registration form will appear. For anyone wanting to participate in the Parade please contact Maria Giustizia at the Village of Patchogue Parks & Recreation Department (631-475-4302)
So if you are going to "March" in our St. Patrick's parade, or "March" over to one of our Membership meetings, the Chamber remains active for our members this month.
Sincerely,
David Kennedy
Executive Director

The Annual Passing of the Sash
This month our Foundation's Cultural Heritage Committee takes center stage with all of our St. Patrick's Irish celebration events.
We already began with the blarney on February 23 at our annual Passing of the Sash gathering at PeraBell Food Bar.
We introduced Patrick Moore as our Grand Marshal for 2014 while enjoying great food, drink, and the music of Irish band Bangers & Mash.
There was also an Irish Soda Bread Contest held between the Harbor Crab, Public House 49, Brick House Brewery, PeraBell and Swan Bakery. We congratulate our hosts, PeraBell, who were crowned Soda Bread Champions for 2014!
