Greetings!
Executive Director's Message

Hello Fellow members,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season. Now it's time to kick 2014 into high gear.

First, we all send a huge congratulations to our President Jacqueline Hensley and her husband Asher on the birth of their daughter Noelle. Noelle arrived December 29 at 9 lbs 14 ounces and 20 inches. Included in the newsletter is a picture of how beautiful she is. All the best to the Hensley Family!

While 2013 was an eventful and successful year for the Chamber, already 2014 is shaping up to be the Chamber's best year yet. Plans are underway on our annual festivals and events, including this year's Alive After Five®. Besides the events you already know and love, such us Family Fun Night and the St. Liberata festival, we look to add some new events, including a nautical themed festival and a New Year's Eve Ball Drop on Main Street.

Of course, these events don't happen without the hard work and dedication of the many members who volunteer on our Chamber Event Committees. Right now is the perfect time to join a Chamber Committee as they set the agenda for 2014. Included in the newsletter is a list of all our Chamber Committees. Please review and contact me on what committee you would be interested in joining.

Also, starting this month, we are instituting regularly scheduled Membership Meetings. These meetings will always occur on the fourth Tuesday of each month, 6 PM in the Patchogue Library Meeting Room. This month the meeting will be Tuesday, January 28. Member Pete Roe of Roe, Taroff, Taitz & Portman will be our Guest Speaker, doing a presentation on Business Succession Planning.

I look forward to be working for you all in 2014. Please make the most of your membership by getting as involved as possible.

Sincerely,

David Kennedy

Executive Director
