St. Patrck's Parade is This Sunday
 |
There is a simple rule for when Patchogue holds its St. Patrick's Parade. It is on the last Sunday of the month with one exception. If the 17th falls on Sunday, the parade is that day. It's all a matter of pipe band availability. There is no parade in the city on Sunday. So this year, it's on the holiday with seven pipe bands. There are 50 units in all. Mike Rau of Tires Incorporated is the Grand Marshal. Here's the lineup:

1           Amvets & Patchogue Fire Dept.

In March of 1923, the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce opened its doors to serve the business community. Renowned at the time to be the ideal place to live work and play, Patchogue offered boating, fishing, theatre performances and a booming downtown business district that attracted people from all over. Today, nearly a century later, the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce has grown to incorporate the Greater Patchogue area and our surrounding neighborhoods and continues to be an ideal place to live work and play.
This month, I encourage our members to DISCOVER PATCHOGUE...now more than ever. Discover our restaurants and shops, discover our waterfront, and discover our theatre and entertainment, discover all the Greater Patchogue area has to offer.
We will be honoring our 90 years in style on March 20th at Lombardi's on the Bay. If you have not sent in your response there is still time. Contact the chamber office to inquire. This party is sure to be the bee's knees!
Happy Anniversary!
-Jacqueline Hensley
