Three Super Important September Holidays
8th - Pardon Day - On September 8, 1974, President Gerald Ford presented a rather controversial Presidential Proclamation pardoning Richard M. Nixon of all wrongdoing related to the Watergate affair. While you cannot grant a presidential pardon, you can be more forgiving on International Pardon Day. If you are holding a grudge against those who have committed some offense against you, Pardon Day also grants you a valid reason to examine your feelings, and let that resentment and anger go.
21st - World Gratitude Day - The celebration started in 1965 in Hawaii when an international gathering decided that having one day a year to formerly express gratitude and appreciation for the many wonderful things in the world would be a good idea. The founders of Gratitude Day hoped the day's focus would positively impact our well-being and make us happier, more contended people.
22nd - Family Day - As the name suggests, Family Day is an event that is intended to allow loved ones to take a respite from their daily lives and spend quality time together. There is no single "requirement" for the activities to be celebrated; Family Day is as flexible as it is relaxing. Whatever you choose to do, this day is one of the best ways to remind us of the importance of family in our lives.
