Osprey Lodge Celebrates Memorial Day 2014
"Thanks For Your Service"
Memorial Day 2014

Alex Newsom and George Wanberg from Cornerstone Hospice made Memorial Day very special at Osprey Lodge.
HOW TO HONOR VETERANS EVERYDAY

  • When you see a soldier or veteran eating at a restaurant, discretely pick up the tab for them.
  • Place flowers/flags on the graves of veterans.
  • Help a homeless veteran through VA services.
  • Send a care package through Operation Gratitude.
  • Take a veteran to lunch.
  •  Post a message on a social network thanking our veterans.
  • Grant a wounded warrior's wish.
  • Mow a veteran's lawn (or shovel their snow/rake their leaves).
  •  Foster a soldier's pet while they are deployed.
  • Bake some sugar free cookies and take them to the local VA retirement homes in your area.
  •  Offer to babysit for a military spouse.  They need a night off too.
  • Donate your unused Frequent Flyer miles to a veteran.
  • Say "thank you."  It's a small, simple gesture that is completely disproportionate to the sacrifice soldiers make.
