An estimated 67 percent of the wealthy put their goals in writing, while only 17 percent of the poor make this a habit. Approximately 81 percent of the wealthy maintained a daily to-do list, while less than 1 percent of the poor did.
A daily to-do list is one tool the wealthy used to avoid procrastination, accomplish goals, and maintain control over their day. They also set a goal of accomplishing 70-80 percent of the tasks on their daily to-do list. Why?
1. To-do lists gave them control over their day.
2. The lists help accomplish short-term and long-term goals.
3. Following a list helps deter procrastination.
The wealthy recognized that procrastination can lead to inferior services, erode client relationships, or worse, lead to litigation. In short, they understand you cannot become wealthy if you procrastinate.
So, make that Christmas list and start your shopping!
