"Father Goose" Captured Our Attention
Author and sculptor Bill Lishman had our rapt attention this week as he spoke about his many grand adventures. Some of you may know Bill's story from the movie "Fly Away Home", which is based on his real life account of guiding a flock of migrating geese south in his ultra light plane.
While we were captivated and inspired by Bill's many ventures, we more readily connected on a personal level as he honestly shared the good, the bad and the ugly about his life's work, attesting to the fact that bumps-in-the-road can lead to successes if you keep a positive attitude. Listening to Bill we could tell having fun during the adventure (and laughing at yourself) were key to navigating life's bumpy road to success.
I came away vowing to never, never, never let a negative keep me from chasing my dreams. If I do that, I may get a chance to see every lemon turned into lemonade.

Things that make you go hmmm...
* You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time informal school called, "life."
* Lessons are repeated until they are learned. A lesson will be presented to you in various forms until you have learned it. When you have learned it, you can go on to the next lesson.
* Learning lessons does not end. There's no part of life that doesn't contain its lessons. If you're alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
* Other people are merely mirrors of you. You cannot love or hate something about another person unless it reflects to you something you love or hate about yourself.
