We're Stirring the Pot!

Albert Einstein's definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

The Team decided three weeks ago to stir-the-pot a bit in our weekly marketing meeting. Typically eight of us sit around the table and discuss new strategies for advertising, marketing and Lodge events. But we decided to invite a couple of Lodge residents to sit in and listen at our meeting. Neither of them had previous marketing experience and questioned why they should come. Our answer was "we don't know, let's just give it a try." So, nothing earth shattering happened in our first meeting. 

The marketing meetings are typically fun, very fast and very imaginative, and the residents started sharing some pretty novel ideas. For instance, (resident) Dave asked if the Lodge had ever been blessed. I asked "are you suggesting we have a couple of Pastors perform a small ceremony?" His suggestion was inviting twenty Pastors to participate, who would experience the Lodge and perhaps tell their congregations about us. Why would twenty Pastors come? Provide lunch, of course!

Now residents are starting to bombard us with all kinds of unique ideas. My suggestion to all of you is "avoid insanity - stir the pot."
