Clay, an Osprey Lodge resident, recently forwarded this picture of an osprey outside his room window. It seems the osprey is pondering whether or not to call this nesting perch on the lakeside of Osprey Lodge a good place to raise her young.
I promised the residents if an osprey laid eggs in the nest, we would set up a live web cam so they could invite friends and family to log on and see the entire adventure, from the birthing to mamma osprey throwing the babies out of the nest.
Residents are suggesting I climb the pole with a bunch of sticks and start building the nest myself. My response is, " It's not nice to fool Mother Nature!"
