You can just make ice cream, or you can
make homemade ice cream with style!
As we build our culture at Osprey Lodge, we often ask ourselves what those "sticky ideas" are that people will remember after they visit.
What if instead of a regular soft-serve ice cream machine we used an antique, gas-powered engine to mix our own custom recipes?
What if simply starting the engine during dinner creates so much anticipation that residents would sit around and socialize while waiting for the homemade treat?
What if we pulled it in a parade, and then gave away ice cream at the end of the route?
What if we let churches or other community organizations use it for fundraising events?

Great Leadership
(An excerpt from Success magazine)
During a study of highly effective leaders of highly productive organizations, a profound discovery was made. The distinction that separated the best leaders from the rest was not their intelligence, strategic vision, operational skills or even charisma-although these are important ingredients. The fundamental difference primarily came down to one thing: They didn't act like managers; they acted like coaches.
It seems world-class coaches, world-class leaders may not always have the best talent, but they always seem to get the best out of the talent they have.
This is mainly because world-class leaders understand that constructive coaching and developmental feedback produce improved individual performance. Numerous studies have proven a direct correlation between the quantity and the quality of coaching a person receives and his or her level of performance improvement.
Coaching and developing your people is not an event. It's an ongoing process that should be inextricably tied to everything you do.
