Ricardo Pelaez

Ricardo J. Pel�ez began serving in Lima, Peru in October 2013. Prior to his arrival in Lima Mr. Pel�ez served at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, China. While in China, Mr. Pel�ez led a team of industry specialists covering the energy, environment, construction, and transportation sectors.  Mr. Pel�ez also served a three-year assignment as a Commercial Officer at the American Institute in Taiwan covering a range of sectors. 

 

Prior to becoming a Commercial Officer, Mr. Pel�ez had an 11-year career in the domestic field of the U.S. Commercial Service as Manager and Senior International Trade Specialist in the Akron and Cleveland, Ohio offices, where he gained extensive experience working with companies in the plastics, automotive, metalworking and medical sectors.

 

Mr. Pel�ez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kent State University with a double major in International Relations and Spanish and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University. He also received Certificates in Management and Sales & Marketing from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management.
