We are pleased to announce the appointment of Administrator  Michael Letter to our Gurwin Jewish ~ Fay J. Lindner family.  Michael comes to Gurwin after a long career in long- term care administration, most recently as the Administrator at Belair Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in North Bellmore.

"We are delighted to have Michael join our Gurwin family," said Herbert H. Friedman, Executive Vice President/CEO.  "His expertise in senior services and varied management experience will translate well to assisted living. We are excited to have him on our team, not only for his knowledge, but also for his enthusiasm."

Michael is a licensed nursing home administrator, and earned his Master of Arts in Health Administration from Hofstra University.  Since then, he has more than 20 years' experience in senior care, working at the administrative level in a number of facilities.  He says he is particularly happy to have the opportunity to get to know the community's residents and help Gurwin's assisted living build on their superior reputation.

"I am looking forward to the opportunities this new position brings," he said.  "Assisted living as a level of care is growing throughout the country, and to be part of Gurwin's full continuum of care is exciting."

Michael resides in Old Bethpage with his wife, Amy, and two children, Ethan and Jordyn.
