Month & Year
Greetings!

It's June!  In addition to green grass, the sweet scent of lilacs, summer rain and warm sunshine, we have much to celebrate. As you can see from our growing newsletter, the arts are alive in our Region and in the State. Thank you to all of the artists, organizations, audiences and appreciators who make the arts activity we enjoy possible!

June 30 marks the end of our fiscal year, and we are pleased to report Region 2 Arts Council has awarded over $230,000.00 to support arts activity this past year.  R2AC kicks off another year of grants rounds on August 14, 2013 with our Arts and Cultural Heritage Grant deadline.  Arts Project Grants and our R2AC/McKnight Career Development Fellowship deadline is September 11, 2013.  Go to

http://r2arts.org/grants/grant-deadlines/ for a complete list of our FY14 deadlines.

Organizations, schools, and government offices will be happy to hear that the Region 2 Arts Council Board has decided to increase the maximum request for Arts Project Grants to $2,500.00. Our FY14 grant applications will be revised and available on-line and in our office by July 15, 2013.  In the meantime, contact us with questions.  Although the applications may be changed slightly, it's never too early to get started preparing your grant applications.

Finally, please stop by our office in the lower level of the Carnegie Library Building after 5 p.m. on Wednesday June 26 for our R2AC Arts Gathering.  We'd love to see you there!

Until then-
