department news: scholarships, applications, and thanks
| |
College-specific scholarship deadlines are quickly approaching, so make sure you are aware of the deadlines. The LHS Career Center can help with your search for scholarships with a list of the web sites for your scholarship search and a scholarship file containing applications for current scholarships. (If parents are making a special trip to the Career Center, please call ahead at 703-287-2747.)
Counselors are still working diligently with students on the college application process. At this time, 768 senior transcripts have been processed. If students still have questions about the college application process, please have them stop by the Career Center or see their school counselor.
Thank you to freshman class Assistant Principal Corey Bowerman for doing double-duty and teaching 9th grade biology after the unexpected departure of the long-term sub for Ms. Cardosi.
