Waikoloa residents and visitors will soon have an upscale venue to take in the latest films. Waikoloa Luxury Cinemas will open at Queens' MarketPlace in spring of 2017 with three screens and myriad amenities, including a full-service restaurant and bar. In addition to gourmet food and beverages, moviegoers will enjoy cushy leather seats, cutting-edge sound and projection equipment, and Real 3-D technology. A new 5,000 square foot lanai lounge off the theater will serve all shopping center patrons.



Waikoloa Luxury Cinemas is a new project for owner Tony Dalzell, who has extensive experience in consumer marketing, primarily in the financial services industry in California. He was also owner-operator of Marina WaterSports, Inc., California's largest watercraft and parasailing attraction. Dalzell hopes the theater will fill a hole in Waikoloa's nightlife scene and be a fun date night location.



Queens' MarketPlace is a 116,000 square foot resort-lifestyle center located within the award-winning Waikoloa Beach Resort and home to a diverse selection of shops, eateries and activities. Known among visitors and kama'āina as "the gathering place of the Kohala Coast," the center is a venue for weekly hula performances, monthly mini concerts and popular monthly outdoor "movies under the stars."
