Urge the Senate to be Pro-Women, Pro-Life
In January the State Assembly passed Governor Cuomo's ten-point "Women's Equality Act" (A.8070) which includes a dangerous abortion expansion component. The issue now moves to the State Senate where
, last year, the members rightly passed nine individual bills benefiting women, but rejected the abortion expansion bill.

Please continue to urge your Assembly representative to pass the nine individual bills to benefit women that were passed by the Senate in June. The Senate rightly refused to vote on the tenth bill of the "Women's Equality Agenda," the bill to expand abortion in our state.

Breaking Out Of My Pro-Life Bubble

My husband and I had just celebrated the two-year anniversary of buying our first home, and we were still getting the previous owners' mail. As I read the Planned Parenthood fundraising letter complaining that decreased access to abortion is an "undue burden" on women, I mumbled, "What about the burden of death on those babies and their poor mothers?" It felt satisfying to rip up the plea for money and throw it in the trash.
But after reading Pope Francis's recent address to dozens of powerful United Nations officials, I realized I need to spend more time sharing and proclaiming the truth about the right to life with those who disagree, rather than grumbling to myself. Speaking to dozens of powerful U.N. officials, many of whom promote abortion as the solution to world-wide poverty, Pope Francis boldly reminded them that every one of the lives of our brothers and sisters "is sacred and inviolable from conception to natural death."read more

The "Trafficking Victims Protection & Justice Act" has been introduced in both houses of the New York State Legislature. This bill would increase criminal penalties for human trafficking and facilitate prosecutions of those who buy and sell sex slaves in the trafficking industry. The Day of Pentecost
"When the day of Pentecost had come,

 March for Marriage 2014
The March for Marriage sends a clear message to every level of society that a majority of Americans still stand for marriage as it has been traditionally and historically defined and handed down through the centuries. The March powerfully proclaims that marriage as the union of one man and one woman is our culture's best means of linking mothers and fathers to one another and to their children.
The March for Marriage aims to grow and to become an outpouring of support on similar scale here in our own country as has been seen elsewhere around the world.
