                  NYS Legislative Session

Here is the 2013 Session Calendar. The shaded days indicate days when state lawmakers are in Albany; unshaded days indicate days when you have an opportunity to meet with your state lawmakers in their district offices.

 OPPOSE THE REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH ACT

The Reproductive Health Act (RHA) has been introduced in the state legislature for the 2013-2014 legislative session, and is numbered S.438, sponsored by Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D - Westchester), who was just elected to the position of Senate Democratic Leader in the NYS Senate. Seventeen additional Democratic Senators co-sponsor the measure. The bill would lift all restrictions on late-term abortions, allow non-physicians to perform abortions, and could compel all medical facilities, including Catholic hospitals, to allow abortions.

You can send a message to your lawmakers opposing the RHA at the NYS Catholic Conference Action Center here.
