The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has requested that we distribute this Request for Information from organizations interested in long-term ownership, operation, or sponsorship of the SHRP 2 Safety Data.
"We are pleased to inform you that the USDOT's Request for Information (RFI) titled 'Information to Assist in the Second Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) Safety Data System' was posted on FedBizOps today, 3 May 2013. The RFI can be found on FedBizOps.

While USDOT will be one of several organizations that will be involved in the long-term stewardship of the SHRP2 Safety Data, under this Notice, FHWA and NHTSA are seeking information from organizations interested in long-term ownership, operation, or sponsorship of the SHRP 2 Safety Data.
We are requesting your assistance in disseminating this RFI notice to your partners, associations, safety advocacy groups, university transportation centers, the automobile industry, technical committees, the safety research community, and to any others that you feel may be interested in this opportunity.
