Greetings!
With an expected two petabytes of data on more than 2,300 participants, the SHRP 2 naturalistic driving study (NDS) is the largest study of its kind ever conducted. This article, which appeared in the September-October 2012 issue of TR News*, describes the SHRP 2 NDS. It includes an overview of the participants, the vehicles, the data acquisition system, the roadway information database, data analysis, and data access.
