Project Background
The SHRP2 R16 B project, Titled " Tools for Communicating DOT-Railroad Mitigation Strategies" is a follow-on to an earlier project that identified successful strategies to improve agreement processing and to expedite delivery of projects involving the transportation agencies and railroad companies. One of the objectives of R16 B is to provide a Virtual Library/Central Repository that is a "One-Stop Shop" of innovative strategies, best practices, streamlined processes and model agreements between transportation agencies and the railroads. This on-line Virtual Library will include the first such national compendium of materials related to project activities between the transportation agencies and the railroads. We are seeking the assistance of subject matter experts associated with transportation agencies and railroads to identify additional materials to include in this Virtual Library. Feedback from subject matter experts will help us ensure that the most appropriate resources are housed in this virtual library that will be accessible nationwide to all transportation agencies and railroads.
Please email or call Ms. Shobna Varma, the principal investigator, if you have questions. Ms Varma can be reached at ☎ 614-333-5370 or svarma@StarIsis.com
