Choir Premiers Piece by Marilyn Becker

Marilyn Becker plays organ in morning worship. Photo by Paul Topalian.

Last Sunday, May 31, the Chancel Choir premiered a beautiful new piece by our Associate Director of Music, Marilyn Becker. It is a setting of the text God Who Touchest Earth With Beauty. If you missed it listen to it HERE.

Sign up for the Pride Parade! June 13th
Last year, Hancock had 12 marchers for this joyous and faithful event - this was the most we've ever had! While 12 is a great number, a church of our size is capable of sending so many more! Will you help us break our record this year by signing up to march? Alex Shea Will and Sarah Keeping will be leading our group this year. CLICK HERE for more information.

Celebration Activities This Sunday!
This Sunday we will celebrate the ministries and leadership of Acting Ministers Alex Shea Will and Pam Cochrane and the many ways they have contributed to our church community. During morning worship, we will share in litany to end Alex's covenantal relationship with Hancock. Pam will be released of her covenantal ties to Hancock on June 28th.

Immediately following this week's morning service, we will have a special reception for both Pam and Alex in Clark Hall. Please join us to wish them well and show our gratitude for their ministering to our congregation with so much love and dedication for the past few years.

Please come to one or all of the following activities!

10am, Morning Worship
This Sunday, we'll have special music from the Bell Choirs. Alex Shea Will is preaching and will be released of his duties at Hancock.

11am, Reception and Celebration
Make your way to Clark Hall after morning worship for a special reception! Here we will present their books of gratitude, which were made by you! (See below for more details on contributing to their books of gratitude.)

We could use more hands in helping with the Reception. If you would like to contribute by baking or bringing a platter, please contact Faith Fenske, fwf.lex@att.net (see below for more information).

5pm, BBQ at Hancock
(and Kick-Off to Hancock Grills!)
Bring your own meat to grill, and whatever else you'd like, to a BBQ in the Hancock Parking Lot! Every Summer, Hancock members and friends take time each week to gather for food and fellowship at the Hancock Grills Events. While it isn't quite summer yet, we're getting a bit of a head start! We'll have a tent and some seating provided. Bring something to throw on the grill and we'll get it cooked! After the grilling is done, everyone is invited to stay for the last Evening Worship @the Well at 6:15 PM.

6:15pm, Worship @the Well
This will be Alex's last time preaching at the Well.

This year's Hancock Church representative at the Mass Conference UCC Annual Meeting is Manuel Navia.
