Andrew Harris preaches
Adam Dobbs, HYG 2013

Our Hancock family was made deeply sad this week by the death of Adam Dobbs, who was an active and beloved member of our Hancock Youth Group until his graduation two years ago. Adam took his own life this week at college. Our prayers go out to his father and mother, Richard and Jennifer, and his younger brother Justin, who went with our HYG to Neon, Kentucky last spring. We pray also for our dozens of young people currently in our HYG, and who have "graduated" from it, as they experience this loss together.

Andrew Harris, our Student Minister to the HYG, and Alex Will, our Acting Minister for Congregational Care, will be working directly with our HYG.  Paul Shupe will be meeting with the parents of our HYG this coming Sunday evening. We hope that you will join us in prayer for the Dobbs family, for all connected with the HYG, and for all who loved this fine young man.

Did you know...

You don't have to be a member of Hancock Church to make a pledge! While we encourage becoming a member of the church, many become part of our community of faith through their participation in worship, service and stewardship activities before they join as members. All are welcome!

Your 2015 pledge card provides twice as much exercises as previous pledge cards.
In past years, you could only check one box. This year, you can check TWO! Feel twice as good when you pledge your time, talent and prayer as well as your dollars.

Planning to make a pledge but just not sure yet what the amount will be? We've got a box for that. Just let us know by Dec.15 what the amount of your pledge will be.

Hancock offers online giving options! Save time and hassle by setting up an electronic pledge payment via your bank. See the Giving Guide and contact
Kim Gladstone.

All the pledge packets have been mailed.
If you don't receive your packet by Nov. 5, please contact

Have you been interested in singing in the choir, for our cantatas, or for the Well but just aren't sure about your voice? Our Director of Music, Mark Morgan, is offering a free 30 minute voice lesson to anyone interested.
