Alex Will preaches

This Sunday we'll spend just a bit of time meeting the Biblical figure of Jacob, one of the ancient Hebrew patriarchs. Jacob is the son of Issac and Rebekah, the grandson of Abraham and Sarah, and a very important figure in the Hebrew Scriptures. Jacob may be most well known for his wrestling match with God. (Genesis 35:1-7). It is during this exchange that God blesses Jacob and renames him Israel...
Read more on our website.
Sunday, July 27th

If you'd like to "read ahead" for the 27th, Alex Will is preaching on the story of The Shunammite Woman. You can read her story in 2 Kings 4:8-37. Keep an eye on the next weekly for more information.

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

Interfaith Garden UPDATE

The Interfaith Garden is flourishing, and there's more and more to pick and deliver to the Lexington Food Pantry. Come check it out. Better yet, be part of the Hancock team that works alongside others from the community. It's fun, uplifting, and no prior experience is needed!

Hancock Volunteers are scheduled to work at the garden on:

Saturday, July 26, 8-9:30am
Saturday, August 16, 8-9:30am
Saturday, August 23, 8-9:30am

And if these times don't work, there are many other times when extra help is needed. To sign up or get more info, contact Amy Swanon, swanamy5@gmail.com.
Flower Donations Needed

The flowers that bloom in the Spring ... the Summer ... the Fall ... and the Winter, on the alter, pulpit or lectern, are placed there to honor and remember the loved ones of the Hancock family. Not only do they add to the glory of the service, but, after church, they are delivered and shared with those especially in need of a visual symbol of our love and caring.

To donate flowers for church, please contact Sally Wyman (
scwyman@gmail.com or 781-861-1929).  -Thank you.

Fall Herald Deadline is July 24th

We'd like to invite all committees to submit to this year's fall Herald. This year we're asking for more of an events listing. If you already know what events you have planned for the fall, we'd like to make sure we celebrate and invite everyone to participate! If you'd like to submit a reflection or something longer, you're certainly welcome to! But we hope that asking for events listings will alleviate some pressure. All submission and inquires can be sent to jane@hancockchurch.org.

For a full list of communications deadlines, please
