Neuroscience, Spiritual Experience, & Christian Contemplative Practice
Sundays May 4, 18, 25 at 8:30am, Dining Hall

With Hancock's  Dr. Stan Goldin (Cognitive Rhythms Collaborative, Harvard Medical School). What is modern neuroscience telling us about the evolution of the human brain-are we really just smarter apes? Bestselling atheist authors claim that neuroscience & evolutionary biology have"proven" that the spiritual underpinnings of religious faith are delusions created within the brain. But they're wrong: Cutting edge neuroscience is now exploring questions previously owned by philosophy & theology, and is telling a very different story-join us for some faith-reinforcing, mind-expanding good news & spirited discussion!

Capital Campaign Forum
Sunday, May 4 at 11:30am in Pearson

How can we make this capital campaign a success once the construction is done? Yes, the construction will be completed in the months ahead! There will  be work to do afterwards to extend the effects of the construction project, such as repairs to high visibility areas of the church untouched by the construction, deferred maintenance still to be done, and a focus on telling our story to the outside world to grow our congregation.

Once all the construction bills are payed and pledges received, there may be some remaining capital campaign funds. Come and talk about church priorities for resources with members of the Capital Campaign Advisory Group. Questions or input? Please contact Yvette Kirby at yvette.kirby@verizon.net.
